Horsemen Clinic Set at Grace Grace Idaho

Horsemen from Bear Lake Carl tou and Franklin counties join University of Idaho Extension to host a horse clinic at Pots County Fairgrounds Grace Saturday June 5. Sessions run 9 30 am to 3 30 pm with a jackpot cutting contest and live demonstrations by noted trainers. A $1 50 registration applies adults. juniors under 16 and 4 H riders admitted free.

Civil War group member charged after Bancroft shooting

Sheriff Marriott arrested William Johnson after shots from a 30-30 rifle struck a car carrying juveniles passing the Civil War Troop camp on Main Street Bancroft. Johnson admitted firing at tires. he was charged with a misdemeanor and fined $100 with $100 damage payment ordered. camp moved on to Soda Springs then toward Washington, D. C.

Free Bowling Instruction During Bowling Week

In cooperation with Youth Bowling Week proclaimed by Governor Smylie for June 7 to 12 Toshiba Lanes in Soda Springs will offer free bowling instruction to all young people through the Soda Springs Recreation Program. No charge for lessons or bowling but sign up in advance through the City Recreation Department with Percy Benedict who runs the program.

Junior Bowlers Complete season in Soda Springs league

Soda Springs Junior Bowling League ended with Steve's Slaves as champions at 48 16 and Mac's Washers at 41 23. Awards include Ryan Hale high game 223 Jill Norcross high series 373 and Steve Freeman high average 165. Youth Invitational results list multiple divisions with names and scores.

Survey Cards Distributed To Area Farmers In Idaho

The Post Office Department will distribute about 20 000 live stock survey cards next week to aid the Idaho Statistician in forecasting livestock and poultry production and estimating crop planted areas and harvest outlooks for 1965. About 9 000 acreage cards will also be mailed to Crop Reporters to support state and national estimates, with officials stressing accuracy and avoiding duplication.

Superintendent Tom Bell announced Gregory W. Darlington valedictorian of the class received one of the $300 Freshman Honor Scholarships at Idaho State University for 1965 66. Federal recreation stickers go on sale in Soda Springs

Federal recreation stickers are on sale at the Soda Springs Forest office. The $7 annual sticker covers up to eight passengers in a non commercial auto and grants access to designated forest recreation areas and National Parks across 430 sites in southern Idaho Utah Nevada and eastern California. Daily and seasonal fees apply for non sticker users with proceeds funding the Land and Water Conservation Fund.
