The local hospital auxiliary plans an odds and ends sale at IOOF Hall on Center Street near Western Auto in Soda Springs on June 14 15 and 16. Auxiliary members will be at IOOF Hall June 9 to take in gifts and donations. Furniture appliances kitchen ware camping gear toys and usable items will be accepted for sale.

Street Improvement Plans For City Outlined In 1972
City streets in Soda Springs will see six blocks curb and gutter to finish last year's project. Grading oiling and paving on multiple blocks by Caribou County crews and Caribou County Commission with City sealcoating 11 blocks and minor repairs. Seaboating costs about 600 dollars per block with total construction and oiling around 4770 dollars. City to supply gravel from the city pit. Geyser area will gain sidewalks and oiled roads as part of the program.

Lightning Strikes Grace Area Home Damaging Nelson Hogan House
A severe thunderstorm hit the Grace area Thursday around 4 pm. A lightning bolt struck the Nelson Hogan home, damaging the chimney, fireplace edge, celotex paneling, ceiling molding, and electrical wiring. The telephone line was knocked out. Mrs. Hogan narrowly avoided injury by moving rooms minutes earlier. Full damage and repair costs depend on pending inspection.

Grace Sergeant Receives Air Force Commendation Medal
Master Sergeant Richard W. Garbett of Thatcher has been awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal for meritorious service as an aircraft maintenance technician at Seymour Johnson AFB North Carolina. He received the honor at McChord AFB Washington where he serves as an instructor with the 502nd Field Training Detachment. Garbett recently returned from a Vietnam tour and is a 1960 Grace High School graduate. His wife Maxine is the daughter of Grace residents Carl and Rasmussen.

BPW Club Installs Planters Near Drinking Fountain
