Young mother dies in head-on crash on Highway 30N

Mary Daviy Cox 33 of Smoot Wyoming died hours after a two-vehicle collision 11.4 miles west of Soda Springs. Injured were her husband Marvin Cox and two sons ages 5 and 244 months and nephew Norman Griffin 4, plus driver John Lloyd 17 and his brother Von 13. Sheriff Ralph Marriott investigated the fatal outing.

Hayes Receives M D Degree at Tulane

First Lieutenant Larry R. Dursteler of Soda Springs Idaho earned the Air Force Commendation Medal at James Connally AFB Texas for meritorious service as budget officer. Ore Trucks Collide On Monsanto Road

Two ore trucks collided on the Monsanto private haul road Thursday night. Fay Millward of Bancroft drove the empty truck returning to the mine. Clyde Gillespie of Soda Springs drove the loaded truck with about 75 tons en route to the dump. Both drivers were seriously injured but recovering. Millward at Caribou County Hospital and Gillespie moved to Pocatello General.

Self-Help Campaign Doubles Subscriptions for Caribou County Sun
