Compensation Payments Increase for Dependents of Deceased Servicemen
Loryn E. Kopan of the Boise Veterans Administration Center announced that starting January 1 increases in Dependency and Indemnity Compensation are authorized. The new monthly payments raise for children: one child 77 to 80, two children 110 to 115, three children 143 to 149, and each additional child 28. for dependent parents, single parents rise from 83 to 87, with a unspecified maximum.

Silver Creek Reserve Set for Fly Fishermen in 1967
The Idaho Fish and Game Commission approved next year’s rules during a Boise meeting. About one and a half miles of Silver Creek will be fly fishing only during the 1967 trout season from June 3 to October 31. Regulations for 1966 remain until year end. Additional changes allow spear fishing for bullfrogs and new recording rules for steelhead and salmon. The commission also reviewed turkey, mountain lion studies, and fish passage plans below Mackay.
