Wells Cargo Wins Mining Contract for Conda Plant

Wells Cargo announces award of the ore mining contract for Mountain Fuel Supply Co at Conda near El Paso. The deal includes hauling ore to the El Paso loading tipple, construction of a road through the national forest, and mining starting next summer from the South Dry Valley Mine about 11 miles from the El Paso Tipple. No additional workers will be hired at present.

Christmas Seal Sale Reaches Halfway Mark Idaho Tuberculosis Association reports mid campaign status

At the midway point of the annual Christmas Seal drive, the Idaho Tuberculosis Association notes health education requests keep pace with contributions. Caribou County residents have given 328 dollars as of December 9, with total area receipts at 824.80 dollars for 1965. Honorary Chairman Cecil Pollard notes strong interest in health education due to school tuberculin testing and rising awareness of respiratory diseases, smoking and health, and tuberculosis.

Grand Prize Draw Set for Christmas City Promotion

The final drawing for the Soda Springs Christmas City 1966 promotion will take place Saturday afternoon December 24 at Wayne's Trustworthy Store. Between 3:00 and 3:30 p.m. the winner receives a 1967 GMC Pickup and a five day vacation for four at Scottsdale Country Club Resort.

Soda Springs High Gets $250 Donation for Bleachers

Soda Springs High School received a $250 check from Allied Steel Erectors of Pocatello earmarked for the athletic fund. Principal Jesse Long said the gift will fund construction of four bleacher sections for the football field, with signatures by Arthur E. Hartman and Roger Kerr.

Santa Springs churches announce Christmas events with Sunday School programs and Sacrament meetings in L D S wards. St Marys holds Midnight Mass Christmas Eve and 10:30 Mass Christmas morning. Presbyterian offers 8:00 p.m. candle light service and 11:00 a.m. Christmas worship. no church school on Christmas Day. First Southern Baptist lists 9:45 a.m. church school and 11:00 a.m. worship.
