Richard D. Newcomer 50, manager of the Carey Farmers Coop, died at 4 15 p.m. Thursday Sept 23 1965 at his Findlay residence after a recent illness. He previously led several co-ops and owned a Frost Top Drive In. Survived by wife Helen two children and other relatives. Services held at Trautman Funeral Home Findlay.

Carey police investigated one accident during the week a minor collision with little damage. Judy Ann Lay backed a 1961 Chevrolet from 122 Dow Street and hit a parked 1963 Ford owned by Glen D. Robison. Damages totaled 40 and 50 dollars and no citation was issued.

Historical Society Seeks Volunteers for Inn Exterior Work

Edward A. Swick, 47, of Carey, bound over to Hancock County grand jury on a second degree manslaughter charge after Findlay municipal court case tied to the Sept. 11 death of Ralph R. Brooks, 29. Retarded Children's Council Plans Building Program in Wyandot
Wyandot County Council for Retarded Children met at John Greer's Office discussing a Western Style Square Dance fundraiser by Western Style Square Dancers to fund a school and sheltered workshop. Garey Woman Injured in Auto Crash Near Carey
Mrs John Hendricks of Cherry Blossom Lane was injured when an autogig struck an Angus bull on county road 99 north of Carey. Husband Bruce, a passenger, escaped injury as did the other driver. The vehicle was damaged and the bull killed. Mrs Hendricks, in Blanchard Valley Hospital room 425, suffers neck back and right shoulder sprains but shows improvement and may have visitors.

Wild Hog Spotted in Salem Township
Wyandot County Sheriff reports a wild boar roaming a one mile square area in Salem Township. The animal is described as a tusked boar weighing about 300 pounds with red and black spots. It has damaged fences and attacked a farmer. Residents are asked to report sightings to the sheriff's department. The sighting area lies west of Tymochtee Creek and US 30N near Wyandot 47.
