Mr and Mrs Floyd Snavely of Pandora announce the engagement of their daughter Reva Beth to Wallace L Phillips son of Mr and Mrs O J Phillips of Alvada The wedding will be at 310 p m Sunday October 2 at St Johns Lutheran Findlay A half hour program of nuptial music precedes the ceremony The Rev H Ward Grieb and Rev Wade H Ki rooms will officiate The ceremony will be a double ring service with open church observed.

Officials to Continue Probe of Recent Thefts at Sycamore

Wyandot county sheriff's department said it will continue the investigation into several burglaries including a break in at the American Legion club rooms in Sycamore. About $100 in cash was taken from the premises.

Two Liquor Charge Withdrawals At Alvada Club

State liquor inspectors filed two complaints after a raid on the Alvada Snipper Club. Frank Topper faced charges of interference with inspectors, and J H Friedman faced possession of an opened bottle. Both charges were withdrawn before a scheduled hearing. Six slot machines seized will be destroyed under order from Prosecutor Webb Tomb. Sheriff Dysard planned to break them up this afternoon.

Squirrel season ends Friday September 30

The 1949 Ohio squirrel hunting season closes September 30. Reports vary on success with some notching limits of four a day while others found it tougher. A dry year kept hunting difficult though a good nut crop bodes well for some hunters and license sales suggest strong turnout.

Carey 4H Boys Earn Junior Fair Awards

Members of the Carey Boys 4-H club won several Junior Fair divisions at Wyandot County Fair. John Romig claimed champion cow and female Ayrshire, Glenn Phillips champion Ayrshire heifer, Paul Phillips champion Brown Swiss cow, Donald Derr placed in dairy showmanship with sponsor Wyandot County Bankers Association, Orville Cook Jr. and Donald Orians earned high placements in heavy Angus and Hereford classes, Norman Collet captured champion gilt with Chester White, and other club members also earned ribbons.
