The Ca rey high school agriculture department won first premium for the best Smith Hughes exhibit at Wyandot County fair. The exhibit highlighted educational Smith Hughes benefits and marks the department's second county fair award. The agricultural club showcased projects and home-farm products. In the judging contest, freshmen from the class placed well as a team of John Myers Alfred Bland Raymond Nachbar and Kenneth O'Brien scored 69.7, Wharton led with about 86.

An inventive exhibit showed a miniature bungalow in a garden setting with memorial wreaths, potted ferns, and a sod segment from the Smith & Kemp land north of town.
