Mrs Mary Bowers funeral obituary notes long life

Mrs Mary Bowers died Tuesday at age 84 3 3 and a half weeks. She was born June 14 1823 in Chazee New York and married to John W Bowers June 14 1841. She leaves a large family including son W L Bowers Findlay descendants and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral Thursday at United Evangelical church with Rev J F Olive officiating and interment at Spring Grove cemetery.

Death of Garrett firesman Jerry Mitchell at 24

Jerry Mitchell of Garrett Indiana died Sunday September 15 after injuries from a coal grate fall on a B and O railroad tender led to appendicitis and an operation. He was 24 years 4 months 27 days old and leaves a wife. Funeral held at Cygnet on September 18.

In Sycamore the probate court declared the estate of George W. Byles insolvent with assets of 10 406 and liabilities of 11 001 14. The circuit court upheld a 21 000 debt owed by Robert P. Old Comrades Meet After Forty Three Years

W W Perkins and William Baker, Civil War comrades from Company H with O Vii, reunited after 43 years. Baker was wounded at McDowell West Virginia when a ball pierced the left temple and exited below the right ear. He recovered after a long illness and now lives in Carthage Missouri and attended the national encampment at Sauriteya.
