Death of Henry Putman at Carey at 69
Henry Putman died Friday morning at 11 after a bedfast illness from angina pectoris following exposure to cold. Post mortem showed a hardened liver. Born on a farm west of the city sixty nine years ago, he married Clara Clark in 1867 and left five sons and two daughters, with several relatives and friends in attendance at funeral services held at St Pauls Church after a brief residence service.

Serious Wreck on The Findlay Branch
Last Friday night train No 226 on the Findlay Branch of the Big Four railroad wrecked about a mile west of the Northern Ohio crossing. The engine fell off the track after leaving a culvert and several passengers were injured varying in severity. Clarence Fields was the most seriously hurt. engineer Elmer Leonard and other crew members suffered injuries. A relief train and doctors assisted, with follow up care at home or hospital.
