Foodland Golf Team Wins At State Wide Elk's Tournament
The Carey Foodland Golf Team won top honors at the Elks State Golf Tournament held Sept 1 and 12 at the Lost Creek Country Club in Lima. Representing Carey Foodland were Frank Frederick Bud Nye Robert Kitzler and Paul Van Du sen. A total of 256 golfers from various Ohio Elks Lodges competed with the Upper Sandusky Lodge having the most participants. This is the second time in four years that Foodland has won the title.

Two Teens Injured In Saturday Car Crash Near Findlay Street
Two teenagers were wounded in a one car crash Saturday evening about 19 ocloks east of a driveway at 619 W Findlay Street. Michael D RKuenz of Sanduski and Shes of Upper Sandusky suffered facial lacerations and back injuries, with the car damaged. Robert James McRill, 20, of Van Wert, was arrested for reckless driving after his 1965 Ford spun into a light pole in the 600 block of W Findlay Street. no injuries but $200 damage.
