Kenneth L. Daring, enlisted in the U S Navy on July 28, has spent about six weeks in the naval hospital at Great Lakes Illinois with blood poisoning in his right thumb. The cause was steel wool splinters while scrubbing a deck. Upon discharge he will take a 12 day leave. He is the son of Mrs Catherine Daring. Wyandot county health department reports the 12th polio case, the fourth in the last week. Eugene Wenner, 11, son of J Carey, was admitted to Children’s Hospital Columbus last Thursday and could not attend school. He shows no muscular paralysis. Donald Karcher, 22, was sent to Columbus Hospital as a suspected polio case but tests including spinal fluid culture were negative. he was sent home southwest of Carey.
