Miss Alice Wuebbe of Frenchtown and Lloyd Lafontaine of Alvada were married at St. Nicholas church Frenchtown on Saturday at 9:30 am with Rev. Joseph Brobst officiating. Attendants included Gladys and Mildred Wuebbe and Silverius and Cletus Lafontaine. After a three course dinner at the Rosemary tea room Carey a reception and dance followed at the bride’s home parish. The bride and groom will reside with her parents while the bride remains a switchboard operator and the groom farms.

Body of man killed here identified
The unidentified man found dead along the AC and W railroad on August 18 has been identified as Frank Miller of Green Castle Indiana. Identification was made through fingerprints. Miller fell from a moving train and was badly mangled. He was buried in the Ritchie Cemetery at Crawford.
