Two Sons Wounded In France and Italy
Mr and Mrs John Foster of 130 Dow Street report their two sons Wayne and Howard Foster have been wounded in action. Wayne was injured in France on July 13 with arm leg and back wounds and is hospitalized in England. Howard suffered a leg wound in Italy on July 46 and is in a hospital there. Their third son Harvey serves in France. Wayne enlisted from Carey in April 1943 Howard enlisted from Gallipolis in January 1941 Harvey enlisted from Gallipolis in February 1941 The Fosters moved to Carey from Gallipolis about 30 years ago. Mr Foster works as a pumper for the C and O railroad.

Italian made ash tray and lamp sent to Mrs Zender
Mrs. Frank Zender received an ash tray featuring a miniature airplane and a table lamp decorated with small calibre ammunition shells.
