Former Carey youth dies in Korea accidental gun wound
A 22 year old Marion man and former Carey resident P O 3C Ronald Joe Earhart died September 7 in Fasconi Hospital Japan after being accidentally wounded in Inchon Korea where his ship USS Coucal docked. He was born August 25 1942 and had planned discharge from the Navy later this year. He was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church and attended Harding School. Surviving are his parents Mr and Mrs Joe Earhart and two sisters Dixie Diane Debra Kay and grandparents Mrs Dixie B Glenn and Charles Earhart. Center Funeral Home is in charge of services.
