The Carey school will open for one term on September 12 1932 with revised session times and a continuous high school schedule. A teachers meeting is set for September 10 at 1 30 pm for assignments. A used textbook exchange will operate in the Col Crawford building.
The Carey Times warns advertisers to submit ad copy by Tuesday nine in the morning to ensure a proper proof and avoid late display. Late Wednesday fore noon deadlines cause rushed layouts and higher risk of costly errors, affecting local shoppers and town advertisements.
Dr. 8S. M. Langstaff has rented an office above Rook's grocery in the same building as Dr. W. N. Johnson. Langstaff, Iowa 1928 graduate, will practice with his wife who is also a chiropractor. They relocate to Carey to serve Carey and nearby areas.
Mrs W J Lefferson thanks friends for help during illness and expresses gratitude for flowers from the Philatheia class of the Evangelical Sunday school and the Pythian Sisters lodge and for kindness from Donelson's restaurant.

The Wyandot county fair runs September 13 to 16 with free attractions including three county high school bands and the Shotwell-Griffin Accordion Gypsies. Also featured are the Race Track Frolics with Rex the police dog, three race horses, and Dolly May the world’s champion guide less trotter. Make arrangements to attend.
Mrs Ruby Geraldine Turnbell Geckle and Kenneth Harry Kuhlman wed at Findlay Lutheran parsonage in a noon Friday ceremony. Rev Ward Grieb officiated. Attendants were Miss Mabel Lambright and Albert House of Fostoria. The couple will reside in Fostoria where Kuhlman works as a clerk.
The Seneca Construction Co of Fostoria leads a highway project between Upper Sandusky and Marion. Concrete curbs are poured and about two miles of asphalt wearing surface will be laid as the press time approaches. The 8 percent complete work aims to open to traffic early in October. D P Wisler serves as inspector.
Announcement lists births including an 8 pound son to Mr and Mrs Harold Almendinger of Marion formerly Miss Margaret Noe of this Place named Ames Richard A 7 0 pound daughter to Mr and Mrs Roy Johnson on E Findlay street and a 70 pound daughter to Mr and Mrs Dale Green on E North street.
Mrs Eunice Converse formerly of W North Street Carey was operated on for a condition on Tuesday at City Hospital Akron. She rallied after the procedure and is doing very well. Friends in Carey are invited to send cards to City Hospital Akron.

The sun eclipse drew wide attention as people viewed it from two to four in the afternoon using smoked glass. Crowds gathered to watch the event with shared curiosity.
A long list of chaperones and students accompanied the Clarey school band on a Kingsville Canada excursion Tuesday. Names include Mrs. H B Keller and daughter Martha Jane, Mrs. Frederick and son Robert, Mrs. Sylvester Pahl and daughter Donna, and many more, with Cecil Laird and others staying in Sandusky City. Dr. R C Van Buren bought a ticket but could not attend.
The Carey Farmers Community Club with 35 members heard Ralph Savidge describe his work with the Radio Commission in Washington. He spoke on national conditions and his Washington experiences. Jimmy Sisto played accordion as James Green John Guttenberg and Joseph Hucke served refreshments. The next meeting on Sept 26 will be open to the public with Anthony Kraus of Columbus providing a talk.
The Carey high school band will perform at Riverside Park on Labor Day. Park Manager A C Redman announced last week. The band has played Riverside twice before and was well received. The Labor Day concert will mark the completion of an unbroken series of weekly Riverside concerts since the park opened last spring.
Last Thursday C. G Laird a seventh grade teacher at the junior high and H F Davidson a fourth grade teacher and principal of the West building received diplomas in elementary education at the close of the final summer term of Bowling Green State Normal.
Dale Krebs son of Mayor and Mrs S H Krebs of East Findlay street will graduate tomorrow with a bachelor of science degree from the college of commerce at Ohio State University Columbus. Mayor and Mrs Krebs and son Donald will attend the exercises.
Four yellow Bermuda onions, grown by Mrs Catherine Turner and her son Albert, were displayed in the Times office window this week. The produce sits three miles north of town and weighs a total of four pounds.

Don Donelson leads the Semi-Pros against the Kenton Reds at the rubber plant diamond Sunday. Harve Ferner, a former Reds pitcher, faces his brother on the mound in a likely pitching duel. Don Donelson returns Saturday from Canada to steer his club to victory and the team heads to Findlay Monday for a clash with Market A rea. Fans weigh in on a potential winner take all game against the Cubs.
Descendants of Isaac Wohlgamuth who settled south of Carey gathered at Riverside Park in Findlay on Sunday. Officers elected include Robert Wohlgamuth of Cygnet as president Lon Wohlgamuth near Fremont as vice president and Mrs Main Brininger of Carey as secretary treasurer. The Vanlue fire department will stage a carnival and festival on Tuesday evening September 6 to raise funds for coats hats boots and protective gear after a recent blaze on the Derr farm. Bands will provide music and concessions will be offered. the public is invited to support the department.
Cardington village council on Tuesday night enacted a change to permit fees for bill passers. The ordinance sets a fee range from 59 to 2500 dollars for permits, replacing the prior practice of issuing permits for as little as 300 dollars. The new rule requires 23 dollars to be collected in all cases, aligning with actions in other towns.
Zellan Audritsh left Tuesday to study electrical and radio engineering at Fort Wayne. Reid Bachtar will leave for Fort Wayne to pursue civil engineering courses over the coming week. Mr and Mrs J E Audrush and daughter Margery accompanied Zellan to Fort Wayne Tuesday.

Rev and Mrs C W Sultzbach departed Monday for Cincinnati to attend the Ohio Annual Conference at the Masonic Temple. The conference runs one week. Locals hope for Rev Sultzbach's return as pastor for the next year, pending approval by the Bishop and board of District Superintendents. He has served the past year, having moved here from Prospect where he preached three years.
High school registration for Carey ninth graders is announced for Friday September 9 starting at 9 20 am. Freshmen unable to attend in the morning should contact Principal W S Huffman to set an individual appointment. Irregular students and past graduates may register on September 9 at 1 30 in the afternoon.
Andrew H. Fox of east of Upper Sandusky began half shocking this week and has already cut 100 half shocks. He reports the corn is of good quality, better than anticipated.
Miles Mitten of northeast of town underwent a serious operation at Mercy hospital, Tiffn Friday after noon for strangulated hernia. Dr Daniels performed the operation, assisted by Dr J D Siddall of this place. Mr Mitten is getting along nicely.

Ice customers informed there will be no delivery difference on Labor Day. The ice house will be open Sunday and Monday from 8:00 until 11:90 am, Carey Mill & Elevator Co.
The Pythian Sisters will gather Thursday evening September 1 after a two month recess. All members are urged to attend.
The C L of C will hold its meeting Tuesday evening September 6 instead of Monday Labor Day observance.
