A group hosted by S. B. Chesebrough and Miss Helen Parlette enjoyed a Mexico themed evening with music by Mrs. George Bish and Miss Madgie Chesebrough. Guests dressed as presidents and national figures while a fortune teller booth and American decor marked the event. Over 380 tickets were sold and the Aid Society netted ninety one dollars.

Big Four Railroad Accepts Snyder Bid for New Cross Shaped Station

Painfully Scalded In Accident At Butcher Shop
Jobo Grove, a Bucyrus trias of butchers, was badly scalded last Thursday afternoon when his foot slipped while salting a hog. His left leg from knee to ankle was immersed in hot water. He returned home the same day and will be disabled for a week or more.

Engine Bolt Slips at Beloit Elevator
On Monday a bolt fell from a piston rod in a gasoline engine at W. F. Johnston & Son elevator, bending the rod into an S and disabling the engine. A replacement rod must be procured in Beloit, Wisconsin, but the elevator has a reserve engine to continue operations.
