Halloween Prizes Awarded After Community Parade
A large turnout for the Halloween celebration by Earl Green post 344 of the American Legion drew 150 to 175 participants. The Carey school band led the parade from Patterson and Findlay to Vance and Findlay, then to the reviewing stand on S. Vance for costume judging and prize awards. The Legion offered free cider and doughnuts to all. Mayor G. C. Wagner, Mrs. Clyde Jenkins, and C0. G. Laird acted as judges. Two $5 prizes were awarded for best costumes, one to Judy Walters and Roger .
