Russell Wickiser of south of Ca-tey has been a patient at St Vincent's hospital Toledo since May 13 with a serious abscess behind a lung. The illness reason is undetermined though penicillin is given every three hours. slight improvement noted. He became ill March 11 and was at Findlay hospital briefly before returning home. In Findlay hospital an 8-pound son named Scott Hayden was born to Mr. and Mrs. Mark McRill near Vanlue at 6 30 a m Saturday. A 10-pound 4-ounce son named John Paul was born Sunday morning to Mr. and Mrs. Paul Heck of W Findlay street Carey at 8 30. A 6-pound 14-ounce son named Richard Frederick arrived Saturday May 18 to T/Sgt and Mrs. Dale Myers. Ruth Heck is his mother’s maiden name. National Ayrshire Breeders Elect Romig Director
T. D. Romig named a director of the National Ayrshire Breeders Association at the Columbus annual meeting on May 8. He has 10 years on the state board and five as president, during which Ohio Ayrshire growth rose to third in national membership. Romig and son started the first Wyandot county Ayrshire herd in 1923. Robert Zeig of Marion was re elected national director and is Ohio association president.

Fox Hunters Kill Three Foxes Near Carey

Pvt Wohlgamuth Joins 806th Base Depot in Italy
Pvt Don D Wohlgamuth son of Mr and Mrs Orville Wohlgamuth of near Carey arrived in Naples Italy and joined the 806th Base Depot Company in the Peninsular Base Section Army Service Force. He traveled by train through Rome Grosseto and Leghorn and was assigned near the 5th Army and U S air force and navy support in Italy. He previously attended Vanlue High School and worked as a truck driver before enlisting June 18 1945.
