Knights of Pythias Nominations for Semiannual Election

At their regular meeting Tuesday the Knights of Pythias nominated officers for the semi annual election to be held next Tuesday evening June 4. Nominations will stay open that evening. Knights urged to attend to nominate and elect. After the election a smoker will follow with no party. The committee asks every Knight in town and country to be present and to enjoy the evening.

Pastor Granted Leave for European Lutheran World Convention

Rev. Lewis P. Speaker of First English Lutheran church will attend the Lutheran World Convention in Copenhagen and visit other European points of interest. He is on leave from June 16 to September 1 to take the trip abroad. Formerly he served at Christ Lutheran church in Carey.

Opening Store in Bish Room by D. & S. Dry Goods Co

The D. and S. Dry Goods Co will open their store in the Bish room next Saturday. Harrison Stone of Worello street will manage the store with Vernon Dunn of Middletown as partner. The room is newly decorated and stocked with new goods.

C. L. of C. Plans Monday Meeting and Initiation

The C. L. of C. will meet next Monday evening with initiation of officers. All members are urged to be present. After the business session, light refreshments will be served by a surprise committee.

Chin Injury at Snyder's Lumber Yard on Ford Truck Hoist

William Bloom suffered a chin wound when a hoist handle struck him during maintenance at Snyder's lumber yard. The injury required three stitches to close the cut.

The couple left for a short wedding trip to Cleveland and will reside in Mt Blanchard where the groom is employed as a railroad agent.

Memorial Day Services At Spring Grove Cemetery

Memorial Day services will be held at Spring Grove cemetery under the American Legion. Ex service men should meet at the Legion club rooms at 9:30 am on Thursday May 30 to march to the cemetery. The public is invited to attend this military memorial service. The G A R memorial tablet will be honored and the Legion ritual used.

Funeral held for Rita Reinhart, Akron child

Mrs E M Reinhart and relatives attended the Monday funeral for Rita Reinhart the three year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Frank Reinhart of Akron. The child died from a kidney tumor present since birth which grew to larger than her head. She is survived by her parents one sister Jane age six and others.

Ivan Beard Found Unconscious in Garage Incident

Ivan Beard 28 the principal of Vanlue High School was found unconscious in a garage by his parents and transported to Findlay hospital. Neighbors and relatives say he had been working on his automobile and was visiting his parents in Rawson for the summer.
