Rev Turrell Wins Second in Sermon Essay Contest
Reverend Roger J. Turrell pastor of the Milford Methodist church earned second prize in a national sermon essay contest sponsored by the American Eugenics Society. Well No. 1 on the Elmer Moser farm in Ridge township section 12 was deepened after a 2 000 000 foot gas well drilled by R W Kirk and others. It now yields 15 barrels of oil daily and higher gas flow after being shot with 100 quarts of nitroglycerin. A second well is planned soon.
