Carey High School 1932 Commencement Held at Auditorium
The 45th annual Carey High School commencement takes place Friday May 20 at 8 15 pm in the school auditorium. Forty nine seniors receive diplomas in this largest graduating class. The program features Verdi Il Trovatore selections, a moving address by John Henry Newman and songs by the high school orchestra and boys trio.

Brayton Golden Wedding Observed At Carey Fifty-Nine Years
Dr and Mrs W G Brayton celebrated their 50th anniversary with a family dinner May 13 at their west Findlay home. Guests included F D Hurd C W Brayton and daughters Margaret Pipes Madeline Pipes. The couple married in their present home built 1867 officiated by Rev John Graham. Mrs Brayton, Susannah Zuck, is Carey’s oldest native resident. Her father Charles Zuck laid Carey’s first street crossing from his home to the Galt Hotel site.

Humbert Dies After Stroke At Carey Residence
P P Humbert died Monday at 8 30 am at 247 Glen avenue following a stroke last Thursday. He was born May 17 1856 in Allen Town Pa and lived in Carey since age one. He married Anna Smith in 1892 and leaves four children, five grandchildren, and siblings in Lorain and Akron. Funeral Wednesday at Christ Lutheran with burial in Spring Grove. He was a longtime member of the Odd Fellows and charter member of the Carey Volunteer Fire Department.
