Lightning Strikes Lake Street House Damaging Home
A lightning bolt struck the Jack Walters residence on Lake street Monday around 5 PM. The house split in two places with chimney collapse, siding and plastering damage, and fire from the telephone and electric supplies. Family members were indoors but unharmed. Illa Saw a ball of fire and bricks fly during the strike.

Storm Strikes Barn Near Wharton Burns Barn and Implements
A regular storm hit Monday afternoon as lightning struck George Yentzer’s barn two and a half miles east of Wharton. The barn burned to ashes with contents destroyed. no livestock present. A chimney at J C Troup’s Pitt township farm was badly shattered. Government gauge at Upper Sandusky recorded 1.88 inches of rainfall for Monday and Monday night.
