Last Sunday the Jordan Tires did not play their second league game with Bucyrus as the grounds at Bucyrus were too wet. A large crowd planned to travel to Bucyrus for the game before word came that it was off. Next Sunday Carey plays Marion at the city ball park.

The Monarch ball club made up entirely of National Lime and Stone Co employees opened its season last Sunday at the ball park against the Cubs. The club features former Clipper era players and will play Sundays when Jordan Tires are away. Next week they travel to Mt Blanchard to meet the city team and debut new uniforms expected to arrive this week.

Nephew Killed by Bus Tragedy in Canton
Mrs George Newhard, her son George Joseph, and Miss Katherine McKabe traveled to Canton after seven year old David Hoover was struck and killed by a bus while crossing a street Monday evening. His father Harois S Hoover, Sunday editor of the Repository, witnessed the tragedy from nearby but could not save his son. The child died in his arms.
