Recital at Findlay College Conservatory

Carey Plans Memorial Day Parade And Services
Carey will observe Memorial Day with a parade and services at Spring Grove and St. Marys cemeteries. The parade forms at 9 15 a m on South street near the high school and proceeds through downtown to the cemeteries, with veterans groups, clergy, school bands, and fraternal societies marching. Special Pilgrimage to Carey This Sunday May Twenty Seven
A special pilgrimage from Louisville Kentucky and Terre Haute and Indianapolis Indiana will be brought to Carey via the B and O railroad next Sunday. The pilgrims arrive early morning and depart at 235 pm. The procession with the Image of Our Lady of Consolation is at 10 am with confraternity prayers and blessing at 115 pm. Masses for May 27 are at 6 00 7 30 9 00 and 10 30 am.

Myron Shimer Granted Local Preacher's License
Myron Shimer aged 18 son of Mrs. J. M. Shimer of Toledo was granted a local preacher's license by the Toledo district conference in session at the Methodist Episcopal church. He is the son of the late Rev. J. M. Shimer who led the local church 15 years ago and died three years ago in August from injuries after diving into shallow water at Lakeside.
