Ohio University installs Blue Key charter members

Herbert Pratternity Newbland St John Greer chair the listing of charter members of the Blue Key honorary fraternity at Ohio University Athens. The chapter, the 86th at the university, stems from a Florida founded society and honors character scholarship student activity leadership and service. Mr Greer is the son of Mr and Mrs Guy Greer of east town.

Marriage Unites Harry Fa Ber and Helen Roof at Parsonage

On Monday at 2 30 pm at the Evangelical parsonage Harry Fa Ber of Glen Ave and Helen Irene Roof daughter of Mr and Mrs James Roof four miles north of Carey wed. Rev L H Naumann officiated. The couple left for a honeymoon to Columbus and will reside temporarily with the groom's parents. He works on the Big Four section.

Three Boys Arrested in Auto Operation Case

Three boys were arrested Saturday afternoon. One charged with operating an automobile while intoxicated. The case was heard Saturday evening by H. B. Stieft, who fined the driver $10 and costs and ordered him not to operate an automobile for a year.

Calf With Extra Limbs Born Near Durham

A cow near Durham yielded a rare calf described as having eight legs and extra limbs attached to the spine. Owned by Clarence Haegele, the malformed calf survived only minutes after birth amid an unusual condition. The farmer plans to have the specimen mounted for display in Findlay in hopes of sale.

Death of Infant Paul Edward Hunter

Infant Paul Edward Hunter died Thursday morning last week born May 10 to Mr and Mrs Ray Hunter of south of town. Funeral was held Thursday afternoon at the home and burial followed in Spring Grove cemetery.

Obituary: Mrs Sopher of Carey Dies at 78

Mrs. Sopher wife of Nicholas Sopher and mother of ten died at her Dow street home in Carey after a yearlong illness. Born near Richmond Virginia October 26 1848 she was a longtime church member and active in local Masonic and Pythian circles. Funeral was Monday at 2:30 pm from the Down street residence with Rev J B Shellhaas officiating and Spring Grove cemetery interment.

Forest Davis Injured When Overland Slew In Crawford Ditch

Forest Davis 16, son of Mr and Mrs Brayton Davis of Crawford, escaped serious harm after the Overland sedan he drove overturned in a ditch near Crawford bridge. Witnesses say a female driver in another car crowded the Overland, causing the crash. He was treated at Carey hospital and then sent home, improving.
