A group of young lady friends honored Miss Inez Wonder at the Galt House on Monday night. Last Saturday evening near Little Sandusky Mr and Mrs Daniel Reynolds were driving when they met an auto carrying S A Cuneo and several ladies. The horse spooked and Mr Reynolds was thrown under the buggy and dragged. The buggy was damaged the horse injured and Reynolds badly hurt. Fred Webb the wool speculator has been sent to the Mansfield reformatory. Gen I M Kirby and family returned home from California. Oscar Billhardt son of Dr A Billhardt Upper Sandusky died at Toledo State Hospital after years of illness born June 26 1867 in Upper Sandusky.
The township board of education last Saturday awarded the contract to W He Saider for the school house replacing the recently burned one. He submitted the lowest bid of 1380 dollars for the entire project.
Relieved of command Captain B L Wallace has been relieved by the adjutant general and 1st Lieutenant Ben Kitzler placed in temporary command. No vacancy in captaincy. Armory relocation not yet implemented. discussion centered on Beck Building contract expiry and armor storage.
Last Friday a party at the home of Dr and Mrs J ie Nichols celebrated Miss Inez Wonder. Guests included Mrs Bret Rewalt Mrs E B Kurtz Mrs Ellis Leta Newhard Mate Toff Mabel Newhard Clara Cralbrewer Zenith Montague Genevra Braston Lulu Perkins Florence Smith and others. Pink and white decor. Wonder won the musical contest. A luncheon pie decorated in pink and white contained a memory from each guest and light jokes.
The Travelers club ended its season with a pleasant social at the new home of Mr and Mrs M B Smith. The entertainment committee included Mrs Chesebrouzi, Mrs Ferrell, Mrs Harshbarger and Mrs Smith. A four course luncheon was served at seven o'clock and the evening featured birth provoking diversions organized by the committee.
