Carey represented by Margaret Ann Pepple won the annual Northwestern Ohio Oratorical contest held in Upper Sandusky. She spoke on A Tincture of Iron and received two gold medals. Foster D Roszman earned silver for Away from Ruin and Ruin. Harold Koontz won bronze with Youth and America. The host school will stage the event next year and Carey is likely to skip entry to avoid home town advantage.
