Trumbo Funeral Held At Larue For Wealthy Farmer
Henry Trumbo, a wealthy 265 acre farmer, was found dead by hanging in his barn near Essex. Funeral services in Larue were conducted by Rev Fr J Carey with Odd Fellows present. He was survived by relatives linked to the England family and his late wife Lucinda England.

At the People's Bank last Saturday afternoon committees were named to plan the Pioneer Picnic. Finances were assigned to H. L. Goodbread, George Wininger, George Klahr, and Samuel J. Black. Music and decorations were allotted to listed local residents. A follow up meeting is set for next Saturday at two o clock.

Next Friday afternoon features a full Senior Class Day program at the East Side school building. Fossil Bear Canine Returned for Museum Addition
N Copley of Carey Ohio sent a bear tooth from the Chambers farm to the Smithsonian Institution. J W Gidley, custodian of the Fossil Mammalian collection, identified it as a left lower canine from an extinct Pleistocene bear. The tooth was returned by mail using the two cent stamp Copley sent.

The county Sunday school convention met in Wharton last Wednesday and Thursday led by President H. E. Kinsley. Dr Joseph Clark state sec addressed the gathering with his Sunday school work hobby. Reports showed 147 bible classes with 2 802 members and 46 schools open year round with 6 156 total enrollment.
