State officials discussed provisions of the Economic Opportunity Act and the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965. Instrumentalists win top ratings at Elgin High contest
Carey Jr High instrumental students earned ratings at an Ohio Music Education Association event at Elgin High School. Superior ratings went to the Clarinet trio of Ann Kohmann Kathy Yeater Connie Hendricks, flute solo Pamela Howard Janice Picklesimer and Mike Myers. State Trustee to Speak at District Meeting
Albert V E Shema State Trustee will deliver the principal address at the district meeting and initiation at Carey Eagles hall Saturday at 7 pm. He has served Forest City Aerie 2235 in Cleveland and Forest City Aerie for 12 years. A WWII veteran, he served in New Guinea from 1943 to 1946. Married with three daughters, he has worked as an estimator in linoleum tile concrete plastic and asphalt for 24 years. All local Aerifl are invited to attend.
