Stowe Motor Sales Reports April Chevrolet Deliveries
Stowe Motor Sales, Chevrolet dealers for Upper Sandusky and area, completed April with 40 new Chevrolet deliveries and several future orders. The 40th car was delivered Monday night, with another order awaiting Tuesday delivery. By mid May they expect their 100th new model Chevrolet since January 1, having shipped over 100 of the 1928 models from Flint, Michigan.

Carey Winners in Temperance Essay Contest
Carey public school students earned top spots in a county level Scientific Temperance Instruction essay contest. Fifth grade winners were Daryl Moyer and Annabel Mitchell, seventh grade winners were Jack DeWitt and Goldie Keckler, and eighth grade winners were Willis Green and Glen Smiley. Carey Mill Fire Destroys Major Local Plant
Early today the Carey Mill and elevator burnt to ashes in a blaze that drew aid from Findlay Fostoria Upper Sandusky and halted four Big Four trains. The mill built in 1883 and the adjacent structures were nearly destroyed while surrounding property suffered damage and losses ran into thousands.

St Olaf Quintette Delights Carey Churchgoers With Sacred Concert
The St Olaf Quintette performed before 400 plus at the Lutheran church last Sunday night delivering a praised sacred program. The five former Sto Olaf Choir members impressed with harmonic balance led by Mr Benson and Mr Westley, with solos by Grinder and Lyders, and an organ accompaniment by Luther Ness. A musical saw rendition of Abide With Me stood out, and two pieces at a 4:30 vesper at the Methodist church closed the event which lasted an hour and a half and left audiences hungry for more.

Killits approved a receiver for the Carey Ohio Porcelain Co after creditor Oscar F Bente of Long Island City NY filed a complaint alleging the firm owes him 10 996 11 and is hopelessly insolvent. The company admits its finances. a recent fire nearly destroyed the plant and Leo Puckeninver of Toledo was named receiver and opened an office at the plant.
