A 9-pound son was born Saturday April 20 at Memorial hospital Fremont to Mr and Mrs David Dible of that city. An 8-pound 12-ounce daughter followed by Caesarean section Friday morning at 11 39 in Fostoria City hospital to Mr and Mrs Glenn Ritter east of Arcadia. Brothers Are Discharged from Navy Roles in Great Lakes
Delmar Mitten and Clarence Mitten received honorable discharges Tuesday at Great Lakes. Delmar, 23 months in service, served on the USS Lassen and fought in Palau Okinawa and Japan bombardment, earning multiple theater ribbons and medals. Clarence served 26 months aboard the USS Mobile and the Durik, with Pacific and East Coast assignments. Two other Mitten brothers, Raymond and Howard, also served in the armed forces.

Blood transfusions were ordered before A. C. Shue's death at Mercy hospital in Tiffin on April 19 but AR2 negative blood proved hard to find. Harold Shue, Mrs. Henry Kuhn Jr., and Jack Smiley donated, while many volunteers from Tiffin and Carey were unable to meet the requirement. Donald Leffingwell offered to fly from Boston but remained A-2 not negative.
