Bulletin Cable manager J. J. Brown and Walter Fouck spent time last week locating a stray bullet in the Carey Electric Telephone Co line on South Street. A boy aimed at the line caused $75 damage and rain could have worsened the loss.
Sue Best of Mifflin township found buckeye log sleepers sprouting in his haymow after seventeen months. A neighbor noted buckeye logs can be cut for stove wood and will sprout if ashes are properly cared for.
Mrs. Peter Krupp and Mr and Mrs C J Krupp traveled to Lorain to attend the funeral of the twenty days old son of Mr and Mrs Charles Krupp The child had suffered illness since birth and died Monday with burial set for Tuesday in Lorain
M A Washburn and B Chesebrough form the firm Washburn Chesebrough to act as buyers and shippers of onions and other produce with offices in the Chesebrough Kurtz block.

Last Friday afternoon a westbound Northern Ohio passenger train was blocked by a large tree blown across the track by high winds. The crew chopped the tree off the rails, taking about thirty minutes to clear the way before the train could continue. The incident occurred a short distance west of Lykens.
The Carey Frances Willard W C T U held its regular meeting at Mrs F S Powell's home. President Mrs Hl Brown led prayer and union hymns were sung. Four sick calls were reported for the past month. The lesson was Anti Narcotics. Papers were read by Mrs Alice Phillips Mrs H Pierce and Mrs I E Brown. Next meeting set for May 22 at Mrs T Pierce's home.
Visitors Day is set for Sunday May 5 at the United Brethren Sunday School in Vanlue. A program of special music recitations and three minute speeches by Sunday school workers will be given. Miss Katie Opper Findlay will talk on The Adolescence Period. The aim is to have ZOU present.
