Plans for annual Junior Senior banquet announced

Junior Class President Marilyn Gehlachten announced committees at the March 17 junior class meeting. Each student was assigned to a committee to prepare three banquet themes to be voted on. Banquet chairmen include Adelsperger, Windau, Van Buren, Hall, Dible, Myers, Jaster, Mangett, Schlachter and others. Banquet set for May 6 in the high school auditorium.

Carolyn Jacobs to Appear in Easter Oratorio

Five Mogul Tractors Arrive in Carey in 1916

At a special meeting the Carey board of education accepted bids for West building interior work. J F Dible Co of Carey won heating ventilation and plumbing totaling 19862 dollars with a gas heating system and new water line. Strasser & Son Upper Sandusky got 31990 dollars for electric wiring and fixtures including new fluorescent lighting. Other bids ranged up to 413262 for all trades. Architect S D Bryce of Toledo supervised. project aims to finish before September with ceilings and basement playrooms added.

Bill Rook Wins Trip to Washington D C

Bill Rook son of Mr and Mrs Harry Rook has won a trip to Washington D C sponsored by the Toledo Blade. He and other area winners will leave Fostoria this Thursday evening. They will visit the FBI Pentagon Smithsonian National Airport Washington Monument Capitol and other government buildings. The group will return home Saturday. Church redecorates Redman house for temporary rental

Christ Lutheran Church redecorates the W North Street house bought from the Catherine Redman estate earlier this year and will rent it for the time being. The church council has several rental applications on file.
