John Halloran purchased the W J Newhard residence on West Windlay Street for $6,000. He and his wife had been living in a church property at East Findlay and Patterson streets and began moving last Thursday.
Lewis Shumaker rents the room owned by Mrs. David Cramer and vacated by Ralph Pieraccini’s confectionery. On Monday he will move his shoe repairing shop from the Straw room across the street.

The Tiffin bus departs weekdays at 8 35 a m 1 00 p m and 5 15 p m Effective April 1 new Sunday service runs 8 35 a m and 6 00 p m The notice lists times in a concise transit update for riders.

Tonight the pastor offers the third talk on Companions of the Cross focusing on Mary the Mother and John the Beloved. Tomorrow Good Friday features Joseph and Nicodemus as the theme with a crucifixion memorial and Holy Communion preparation. The public is invited to all services.
Theodore Myers resigns as manager of the Carey station of the North Central Ohio Cooperative Dairy Sales Association to become district manager and focus on organizing stations. Robert Smith will succeed him as manager here.
Mack Starr of southwest town suffered a steel splinter injury to his right eye while repairing machinery. The particle became embedded but doctors say his sight will not be affected.
Mrs Daniel Rickle died at 2 40 this morning at her home on S Vance Street after a long cancer illness. She was 65. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 30 from the residence.
S. H. Krebs has taken the Chevrolet agency for the territory and shows two new cars in the Nachbar room on South Vance Street.
The Pythian Sisters announce a practice session this Thursday evening after the regular meeting. All members are urged to attend.

Carey High School debaters swept Nevada in the final round to capture 11 of 12 decisions and win the silver cup. The trophy arrived Saturday and was shown to the student body Monday, admired on a shelf in the study hall beside the clock.
Monday morning chapel started with a student body song and scripture reading by Supt. A. M. Hornby who urged high schoolers to observe Holy Week. The program included a vaudeville sketch by Clair Lytle and Richard King that drew constant laughter.
Captain Trubey leads Carey to an 18 to 13 victory over Sycamore in a constrained 13 foot high gym. Bradley Kear Huston Ogg and A Hus ton form a strong defense and scoring unit while Coach F Henry receives credit for preparation. The retiring captain Harold Tong is praised as a fightingest football captain for Carey High. He is described as a highly dependable backfield man and kicker who could break through opponents' lines when given the ball. He is well liked by teammates and respected for his leadership and skill.
Carey High plans another championship run after winning football and the Wyandot County Be balling Cup. The track team is training for the May 4 meet at Upper Sandusky hoping to score more points than rivals.
Carey High School girls traveled to Galion and were outmatched in guarding passing and scoring as Galion posted a 34 to 13 victory. The Carey squad showed effort against a stronger opponent on last Friday night.
Mrs. Icadora Kauffman, Fifth District O. E. S. president, invites Crawford Chapter to district dinner in Tiffin at the Masonic Temple on Saturday April 7 with sessions at 1:00 am and 1:00 pm. Dinner served by city churches. Reserve through the Tiffin Eastern Star secretary. Carey moved from the fifth to the tenth district.
W B Mitchell and his wife moved their household goods from Union County to Broadway their former home. They had been visiting relatives there for weeks and have not decided what to do with their Brown Avenue property. Carey friends wish them a successful and happy future.

A letter from the Ohio Inspection Bureau informs local officials that Carey currently holds a fourth classification, the best attainable for a town its size given its weak distribution in the manufacturing district, old light-weight autos, poor fire alarm, and no building laws. To lower rates further would require costly upgrades including motor driven apparatus, hoses, ladders, and a paid staff, with a continued call-force combination.
George Ash as president of The Liberty Tire Corporation calls a stockholders meeting at the factory on Tuesday April 3 at 12 00 noon.
