John H. Finley, superintendent and father of Miss Mary Finley, remains critically ill in Ft Wayne hospital after two months and multiple blood transfusions. Miss Dorthy Kenat misses school due to illness. Joy Bell Ringer entertained about 600 pupils in a 40 minute program. Inter-class basketball results show seniors 50 freshies 11 and juniors 22 sophomores 20 in overtime. Upcoming handball tournament will include singles and doubles events. Local Girl Reserves led an Easter chapel with a Scripture pageant, hymns, and candlelit cross formation.

Wyandot County reports its April CCC quota. Eligible youths aged 18 to 23 may enroll. if applicants are short, 17 year olds may be accepted. Applications are taken at the relief office in the courthouse at Upper Sandusky.

Justus lodge No 393 will confer the rank of Knight this Thursday evening in Forest. Knights should report to Castle Hall by 7 000 o clock. Fire at residence prompts call to Carey department

The Carey fire department was summoned Wednesday at about 7 45 p m to Peter Jacob’s home on W Brown avenue. Mrs Jacob was preparing to bed children when she spotted a small attic blaze. Jacob had extinguished the fire before arrival, and the department did not investigate the scene.
