Charles D Kentfield died Wednesday at his residence on Frederick Street from intestinal flu and pleural pneumonia. He was 50 years old and a long time car inspector for the Hocking Valley. Funeral Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Crawford Methodist Church with Rev. Joseph B Shellhans officiating. burial in Ritchie Cemetery. He was born November 16 1878 at Crawford and leaves wife Mary Kitzler and five children. Surviving sisters are Mrs Ralph Hathaway Mrs John Holm and Mrs Frank Deerwester. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen lodge.

Mrs J A Pethe aged 79 died at 1 55 this morning at 233 S Muncie St following a cerebral hemorrhage. Born April 17 1874 in Seneca county she would have turned 80. Survived by husband J A Pethe nine children Raymond Linus Christina Jacobs Esther Cle tus and Catherine, with two infant sons deceased. Also sister M Alice and sister Catherine. Funeral Monday 9 30am at Our Lady of Consolation Church with burial in St Mary's cemetery. The family lived on a farm near Adrian before moving to Carey two years ago.
