Kiwanis Luncheon Focuses on Local Issues And Plans
Attendance at the Monday Kiwanis luncheon was solid with no regular speaker. Reports covered the Intercity meet at Mansfield by Dr. Johnson and Rev. W. F. Martin, pool discussions, and plans for the Kiwanis International convention at Ste. Paul Minnesota in June. A member discussed water and electric waste and urged checks on leaks and shorts. Visitor Mr. McCormick of Chicago spoke of Kiwanis ties. Prize winner W. D. Goble received a wrapped package donated by W. W. R. Kurtz. Next week promises an unusual program led by D. A. Capell as chairman.

Mrs. Margaret Chesebrough Rites Held in Carey
Mrs. Margaret A Chesebrough died Monday night after collapsing at home. Funeral services were held at 2 PM at the Methodist church with Rev W F Martin officiating. Burial in Spring Grove cemetery beside her first husband. She was 75 years old and is survived by two sisters and a brother.

Destructive Fire Hits Wyandot Burial Vault Plant
A morning blaze destroyed the Wyandot Burial Vault Co. plant in Mononcue near Upper Sandusky with about 700 vaults ruined. Mrs Caroline Dirmeyer aged 82 died Tuesday at the home of her son W T Dirmeyer east of Upper Sandusky after a fall near a table. Born in Baden Germany she leaves 11 children eight of whom survive: W T Dirmeyer Mrs Samuel King Adolph Carl Otto Amiel and two others. Also nineteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Krecker Memorial Drive Seeks New Site After Earthquake
The Christian Endeavor League held an open evening program to support the Krecker Memorial. The Kreckers, early Evangelical Missionaries to Japan, saw their memorial building and site wiped out by a great earthquake. A $25,000 fund is raised to buy a new site and rebuild.
