Mrs. R W Pool of Nevada died aged seventy five. Mary Jane Fleck of Eden township, born June 12 1831 in Pennsylvania, also died. The Anson Bloom ditch survey in Tymochtee township was approved and will be sold April 1. The Sycamore Leader notes William Staum found dead from long mental strain. A will for George W Young is probated with executors Lawrence and Orrin Young.

Temperance Rally Day Draws Large Carey Turnout
Sunday night the Lutheran church hosted a temperance rally led by the W C T U with a large attendance. Mrs Emma OBrien praised Neal Dow and temperance as a Maine apostle, while Mrs J C Dow outlined his life. Rev Bailey urged motives of faith, and Rev Spaid backed the local option. Music featured the junior choir and soloists. The event affirmed ongoing temperance interest in Carey.

At the Royal Theatre last Wednesday, moving pictures of lassoing wild animals in Africa drew large crowds. The show featured rhinoceros handling and dust clouds, with Buffalo Jones highlighted as the finale. C. J. Jones and Mr. Kisselle received praise for the successful exhibition.

City Council Minutes Note Sewer Contract and Land Deed
The council met with mayor Nani Heyde and members Spencer Pahl Wenner Vigor Kurtz Constien and Kear. Bills paid include water, street labor, taxes and salaries. A Toledo House of Correction prisoner care contract at sixty cents per day was approved and signed, with death costs and transport billed to the municipality. J.T. Myers presented a deed from Margaret Wrightsman for land at Munsey street extension, paid thirty dollars, deeded to the village. Communications on sewers discussed Wrens sewer plant and Wadsworth sewer costs. A farewell for Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ridenour was held with neighbors and friends attending including many names listed.
