The William Myers Chapter 196 Order of Eastern Star met Tuesday evening March 4 at the Masonic Temple in McCutchenville for its annual inspection. Two Persons Injured in U S 23 Collision
Two drivers sustained injuries in a two car crash at the U S 23 intersection with county road 97. Robert R. Preble 57 of Carey cited for failure to yield after his vehicle crossed and was struck by Ronald L. Rizza 29 of Warren Michigan. Frank H. Adkins passenger suffered a head bump. On March 12 1969 the staff of The Peoples Bank Carey Ohio hosted four Carey police officers and Wyandot County Sheriff for a training session led by Eldon C Dame security officer to implement Bank Protection Act of 1968 regulations. The Carey Fire Department battled ten fires this week including multiple grass fires at Fox and Mitten roads Jerry Davis on County Road 99 Shrine Park Wayne Smalley County Road 5 and W Brown Avenue. A rubbish fire at 662 E Findlay Street and a barn fire in Vanlue on 3 17 also required response with the barn unsalvageable. Assist from McCutchenville Fire Department was needed at a property on Co Rd 107.
