Fish and Game Meeting to Organize in City

A fish and game protective association plans a Friday 7:30 PM meeting in the assembly room at the courthouse to organize with at least 100 members. The group aims to keep fishing and hunting within the law and improve opportunities. Membership lists will circulate this week, with signups at Loser Drug Store in the evenings.

Miss Helen Fox Seriously Ill From Peritonitis

Miss Helen Fox daughter of Mr and Mrs Charles Fox of three miles northeast of town is seriously ill with peritonitis. Dr Startman of Findlay operated on her Sunday after a three to four week illness and two weeks of fasting under nurse care.

City to hire Ohio Power Co for outside electric current

Friday night officials and citizens met with Ohio Power Co representatives to secure outside current for town and water works pumps. Bids include Erner Electric for copper wire, General Electric switchboard, Nagel Electric for line materials, National Supply for pumps and air compressors, Zahm Toledo for line labor. Readvertising possible for voltage base. work to start soon.

Pre-Easter Campaign at United Brethren Church

The United Brethren Church hosts a Pre-Easter series with sermons by the pastor from March 20 to March 27. Funeral for Mrs Isadore Elchert Held at St Joseph’s

Mrs Isadore Elchert, aged 69, died Tuesday. Funeral attended by Mrs John Fleck and Mr and Mrs Nicholas Collet at St Joseph’s Church in Tiffin. She leaves her husband and five children: Mrs Minicki of Fostoria, Mrs Erhart Elchert of Delphos, Mrs Joe Collet of Youngstown, John Elchert of Tiffin, and Frank Elchert of Maryland. Maiden name Kate Arend. The family formerly resided here and moved to Tiffin about 12 years ago.

Evangelical Missions Society Met Tuesday Afternoon

The Missionary Society of the United Evangelical church met Tuesday afternoon with Mrs Trenpy Da 140 presiding. Mrs G R Tate led devotionals and the lesson A Venture in Faith. Mrs Virgil Green and Mrs Geo Perkins led. A leaflet Tow Muph is a Five Cent Book Worth was read. Mrs L G Hart read and Mrs Dimon provided special music. The society will meet the third Tuesday in April with Mrs J H A more.

Mrs Forest Wenner Death Followed Birth Of Son

The community mourns Mrs Forest Wenner of north of town who died from uraemic poisoning after giving birth to a son who lived only two hours. Funeral services were held at the Lutheran church with Dr E Luther Spaid officiating and burial in St John’s cemetery. She was born Ruth Corinne Thomas October 6 1900 and died at age 20 years 5 months 4 days. she married Forest Wenner October 24 1918 and is survived by her parents and one sister.

Injury at Federal Porcelain Plant Ends in Hand Laceration

Monday afternoon Jesse Stombaigh suffered a painful hand injury at the Federal porcelain plant. While stepping down from a slip pump he operates the step collapsed throwing him backward. He caught himself with his left hand and the press of his weight drove a can spout into the base of his thumb.

Pavilion Rented for Summer Fair Activities

Charles Myers rents a pavilion at the mall and buys a soft drink and ice cream concession for the season. Dances will be held at regular intervals. The first dance serves as a benefit for a park project with proceeds planned to buy a power lawn mower.

Death notices details four daughters and bereaved family

Mrs Frank Stanley of east town reports the death of her niece Edna Parker Gabrilson in Cleveland on March 2. She was buried March 5. The deceased, 10 years old oldest and a month old youngest, died at her parents home on Cory Ave. She left a husband and four daughters. Her mother is Miss Ida Nye, known to many as a family friend.
