County commissioners grant a half mile in Richland Township amid petitions by Jerome Wise and others. They approve the A A Cole road on the Richland Ridge township line and a spur Sweigard road about a mile and a half in Tymochtee township. Additional roads in Jackson and Miffin townships were viewed and taken under advisement with other roads under consideration.
A log handling accident injured Alvin Grady of north of Day 71 when a pole slipped from a stick and caused the log to strike his jaw, resulting in cuts and bruising.
In Carey vicinity several farm relocations are noted. Cc. E. Bushong moves to Jay Wright farm southeast of Carey. Ray Cravens relocates to Dr. Colon Beck farm west of town. Stanley Opper moves from Clem Beck place to Alspach farm. Erwin Tong to Beck farm. Hugh Murthanland rents W. J. Baker place. Myron Brand sells 26 acres east of town and moves west to Romig place. S. M. Romig moves to Martin Mathern place. William A. Brandt and Mrs. Brandt relocate to a 98.5 acre farm north of Carey. Henry Orians shifts from Beech Grove area to Mrs. Etta Shoup place northwest of town.
R G Spencer representing National Lime and Stone and Federal Porcelain with W S Bish National Porcelain J B Denetz and C M Beitler Tire and Rubber met the city council Monday asking daylight saving ordinance pass. Engineer reported on proposed new power plant and 99000 bond issue to build a plant sufficient for local needs only.
Health Officer W C Anderson reports 200 measles cases in the current epidemic. Twelve cases came last week and six more in the first three days of this week. The parochial school closed as a precaution against scarlet fever spread.
Hon A P Sandles will address Wyandot farmers at the courthouse Upper Sandusky on Wednesday March 17 at 1 30. Hear a fine address and give Pat the glad hand. Executive Committee.
The Carey Times announces a price increase to two dollars a year after March 15. The notice chides skeptics and jokes about Arlingtonia and a potential talk with Micky.
The A. G. and N. F. Collet sale Saturday grossed 19 940 with entries including high priced sheep and sow stock. Col. Moore sold the entire list in two and a half hours as a large crowd watched the auction.

County commissioners ordered a preliminary survey of the Milton ditch in Crawford township and also ordered one survey for a concrete wall on the James road near the Hocking Valley in Crawford township.
National Executive Committee meeting in Indianapolis endorses adjusted compensation for service members. The resolution calls for a fifty dollar bond per month of service and notes prior congressional action while reserving rights of widows orphans and the disabled. Ohio Legion endorses the national action and solicits support locally.

Wool Growers Association executive committee meets in Upper Sandusky to plan wool marketing and grading with another meeting planned. Rollie Starner of Nevada and Miss Cordelia Patchett of Upper Sandusky wed. Presbyterian ceremony conducted at Rev B H Douglas’s home. A county jail fire scare narrowly avoided disaster when a prisoner’s match sparked a near‑fatal blaze. smoke forced action and a mop with a bar caused jail windows to be opened for air.
L. D. Willford deputy revenue collector will be at the Peoples Bank Friday and Saturday to receive income tax returns, collect taxes, and offer assistance.
