CAREY GIRL SCOUTS celebrated the founding of Girl Scouts with a birthday party in the Laird Room of the High School. Mayor Ray Peiffer presided over Carey Municipal Court hearing June M Sager Fos toria on profane language with a 50 dollar fine and 9 40 costs 6 months good behavior suspended. Viola Platt and Rosemary Wohlgamuth each paid 50 dollars and 9 costs with 35 suspended for six months. Louise Pratt fined 10 dollars and 9 costs for speeding. Wayne Rhodes fined 15 dollars and 9 costs for speeding 50 in a 35 zone.

Kiwanis Discuss Labor Survey Plans at Carey Meeting

The Carey Kiwanis Club met to plan the Dayton Malleable Labor Survey. Fred Snobarger said they will contact over 50 area high schools to recruit juniors and seniors for Dayton Mallable jobs after graduation. They will run four buses to Carey on registration days to bring interested students. Attorney Paul Burson spoke on Needs and Requirements of Our Library, tying his talk to the Library Fund Campaign.

Plain and Fancy Senior Class Play in Amish Country

Rehearsals for the Carey senior class musical Plain and Fancy proceed for two nights on March 31 and April 1. Dorcas Carey Library Board Reports March 1966 Campaign Progress

The Dorcas Carey Public Library Board reported $3 798 raised toward a $7 500 goal for capital improvements during the March 7 1966 meeting. Honor Roll donors include Kiwanis Club Earl y Green Post American Legion Auxiliary Harmy Schubert Fred Cassel and others with several names requested not to be published. The board urged further contributions from those missed and encouraged door to door solici tation with most homes capable of giving $5 or more.

The Carey Chapter of FHAs honors five girls for achieving State Homemakers Degrees. Honorees are Glenda Allison Delilah Druckemiller Ruth Ann Fredritz Jayne Gibson and Ann Orians. They will attend the FHA state convention April 22 and 23 at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium with four voting delegates.
