Farewell Gift for Mrs Karns by Missionary Society

Illness Calls Nichols Family to Detroit
Dr and Mrs J E Nichols were called to Detroit last Friday due to their daughter Miss Gladys serious illness. She suffered an appendicitis attack Thursday evening and underwent an operation Friday at Harper hospital. Reports from the hospital say the patient’s condition is encouraging. Dr Nichols returned home Saturday while Mrs Nichols remains.

Funeral for John J. Fox details Bavarian birth and Carey life
John J. Fox born in Bavaria on July 25 1832 died February 25 at age 78. He emigrated to Ohio at 22 settling in Wyandot County and served briefly in the 49th Ohio Infantry. He married Margaret Wise in 1865 and had ten children seven living. A Ridge Township farmer and longtime trustee he belonged to Our Lady of Consolation church and is survived by a sister and his wife. Funeral held at Our Lady of Consolation with Requiem High Mass. interment in St. Marys Cemetery. pallbearers were his six sons. Distance attendees listed from Sandusky Cleveland Tiffin McCutchenville and other towns. Floral tributes noted from family and friends.
