The Orwig joint county ditch hearing is scheduled for Friday March 10. Reports note local deaths including Henry Detwiler and James Gillen, with details on birthplaces and dates. Edward Davidson traveled to Urbana on Wednesday for a poultry show. He displayed Buff Rock chicks and cockerels, earning first and second on cockerels and first through fourth on pallets and first on pen. He stayed as a guest of Albert Logsdon and family.

A Saturday night blaze at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Black on North Street caused serious damage to a bedroom and contents including a desk, chairs, clothing and bedclothes. Water damage was minimal after the firemen prevented a full house fire. Cause unclear but suspected to have started from a stovepipe. insurance covers the loss and neighbors and firefighters were thanked.
The Brotherhood of the Methodist Episcopal church held its second banquet last Friday night at the church with large attendance and enthusiasm. Rev. J. H. Fitzwater and others spoke, nine new members joined, music by the male quartet and Mae Cosgray, and a generous repast raised 27.65 for the group.

The Chicago male quartette will headline with Edward West Williams piano Man sel Broderick Greene piano vocalist and composer Lowell Bixby vocalist and Edward C Parmenter vocalist impersonator and manager. Each performs as cultured soloists with varied repertoire and humorous patter. Seats reserved at Ewing's drug store on Tuesday March 7.
The village health officer of Carey Ohio urges proper milk care to stay sweet. Milk kept at 50 Fahrenheit or lower lasts twenty four hours and bottles must be washed and returned to dealers.
Peter Krupp learned Monday that his uncle Charles Krupp of Sandusky died Saturday at age eighty nine. The funeral was held Wednesday at St Josephs church in Sandusky, with Mr and Mrs Peter Krupp in attendance.
Revival services are underway at the United Evangelical Church with strong interest and a large Sunday night attendance. The meetings will continue throughout the week.
Miss Elsen Haines and Miss Eloise Thrall left Saturday at noon for New Orleans where on Tuesday they attended the Mardi Gras carnival. They plan to return home via Pensacola.
