Death of Miss Margaret Shumaker in Carey Ohio
Miss Margaret Shumaker died at her Findlay Street home on Wednesday night at 11 o clock after a prior illness. Born December 10 1885 she was a daughter of Joseph and Mary Shumaker and survived by several siblings. Funeral services were held at Our Lady of Consolation Church with burial in St Marys cemetery. pallbearers included six nephews from Upper Sandusky Carey and Toledo. She had worked for ten years at the Carey Times and was a devout member of Our Lady of Consolation.

Carey merchant J P Newhard dies suddenly at 97
J P Newhard died suddenly of heart trouble Friday afternoon while seated in J W Browns furniture store. He was 87 and had long been a prominent Carey businessman, active in clothing, real estate, and insurance. Private services were held at his home with Knights Templar and Masonic orders in attendance. He leaves a wife Alice Shuman, three children, eight grandchildren, and several siblings. Burial was at Spring Grove cemetery with Templar charges.
