House Fire Destroys Turner Home at Springville
The residence of Mr and Mrs Albert Turner burned to the ground Wednesday forenoon about 9:00 while the family was visiting Mrs William Turner. A defective flue is thought to have caused the blaze. The house and contents including cured meat were lost. Six children in the family faced a serious calamity.

Mrs. Charles Ruffing 21 died Wednesday at 4 30 p m at Mercy Hospital Tiffin after an operation for bowel obstruction. Born Mary Amerine she was the daughter of George and Mary Amerine of north of Carey. She married Charles Ruffing November 11 1925 and leaves a daughter Maxim Mary one year old husband and parents. Surviving also are two sisters Mrs Albert Turner Springville and Mrs Everett Laney and two brothers Adam Amerine northeast of Carey and James Amerine of Adrian.
