Memorial Evangelical CIC class to meet for dinner

The CIC class of Memorial Evangelical church will hold a tureen dinner at Mrs. Roy Walters home 8 Lake street this Friday March 5 at 6 o'clock. B Tournament Opens Thursday at Carey High Gym

The Class B sectional basketball tournament begins Thursday at the Carey high school gym with 14 teams from Hancock, Crawford, Richland, Seneca and Wyandot counties plus Crestline, Tiffin, Calvert, Fostoria St. Wendelin and Carey. Winners advance to Columbus for the state round. prizes include gold belt buckles for champions and silver buckles for runners-up. Twenty six band mothers gathered Monday evening at the high school for the Carey Schools Band Mothers meeting. The program featured piano duets, violin and trumpet solos, with performances by June Criger Paul Burson Talmage Huston and Norman Huffman among others.
