Town Hall Site Suggested by Carey Committee

A nine member panel including three councilmen and three citizens selected the southeast corner of Vance and North streets for the new town hall site. The lot hosts the old foundry building with frontage of 113 feet on Vance and 72 feet on North. Knights of Pythias and Odd Fellows own adjacent rooms. Stoll Gaster machine shop sits nearby. The plan sees a August primary vote on the town hall and seeks a 45 percent PWA grant.
