Wyandot county led statewide turnout at the 7th annual Ohio Home Demonstration Council meeting at Campbell Hall, Ohio State University. Carey residents including Mrs. Evert Lee and Mrs. Wesley Wonder attended, with a novelty skit “Sam and Tilda's Courtship” on Tuesday and top honors in the state publicity scrapbook contest awarded to Wyandot along with Ashtabula and Trumbull counties. Angus Picnic Draws 500 for Ohio Aberdeen Angus Event
About 500 persons from all over Ohio gathered at the Earl Burson farm near Carey for the annual Ohio Aberdeen Angus Breeders association picnic. Highlights included beef barbecued for guests, a judging contest, expert talks on beef cattle production, and demonstrations. A Buckeye Lake troupe performed and a state Angus show and sale was announced for Urbana on August 12.

Liberty Mills Pastor Opens Three Week Revival at Church of God
